About
Institutional valuation, without the institution.
Who builds this
VALUATIO is built by Asgar Aslanli. One person, named, rather than a company voice: if you are being asked to trust a credential, you are entitled to know who is behind it and to go and look them up. Questions, corrections and complaints reach that person directly at support@valuatio.co, and are answered by them. The business itself is operated by Almaz Abdullayeva, who is the party you contract with and who is named on the Terms; the two roles are separate and both are stated rather than blurred.
Why that matters more than it usually would
Most products do not need to say who made them. This one issues a credential, and a credential is worth exactly what a stranger can verify about the people behind it. So the position is stated plainly rather than implied: this is a new, independent product built by one named person, not an institution, and it does not pretend otherwise anywhere on this site. What it does offer instead is that everything it claims can be checked, from the filings behind every number to the public verification page behind every credential.
What this is
VALUATIO builds the three valuations an analyst would construct by hand (a discounted cash flow, a comparable companies analysis, and a leveraged buyout) from a public company’s own filings, and recomputes them live as the assumptions change. It is the work of a first-year banking analyst, done in the time it takes to read the assumptions.
Who it is for
- Students preparing for investment-banking interviews, who need to build models rather than memorise definitions
- Analysts who want a fast, defensible first pass before opening a spreadsheet
- Anyone who wants to understand what a valuation actually contains, rather than accepting a number
Principles
- Numbers that tie. Every worked example in the Learning Center reconciles, because a finance reader will check.
- Show the assumptions. A valuation is a set of assumptions with arithmetic attached; hiding them is how models mislead.
- The server decides. Access, permissions and invitation codes are verified server-side. The browser is never trusted with anything that matters.
- Teach, do not just compute. Every calculator has a companion module explaining what it does and how it is misused.
What it is not
It is not investment advice, and it is not a substitute for judgement. A model produces the answer its assumptions imply. The value of building one is that it forces those assumptions into the open, where they can be argued with, which is the entire point of the exercise, and the reason the Learning Center exists alongside the terminal.
Independence, stated plainly
VALUATIO is an independent training product. It is not accredited by any national accreditation body, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a pathway to the CFA Institute, the CAIA Association, FINRA, the ACCA, or any regulator or professional body. Nothing here confers a licence, a designation, or a right to practise. The Verified Valuation Assessment is exactly that: our own assessment, of our own curriculum, and the Candidate Handbook sets out exactly what it does and does not assert.
- Independent: nobody outside VALUATIO sets or reviews the standard today. If that changes, this page changes with it.
- Not a regulatory qualification: it does not substitute for any licensing examination in any jurisdiction.
- Not a guarantee of employment, an interview, or a placement of any kind.
- Verifiable: every credential we issue can be checked by anyone at valuatio.co/verify, which is the part of the claim you do not have to take on trust.
